From: David Harris, Computer Consultant There are thousands of web hosting companies out there to choose from, so where do you start? You could start with the big boys like Yahoo, 1and1, bCentral, etc., but they can be VERY expensive! On the other hand, the smaller, cheaper online hosts seem to be there one minute and then disappear the next. And do they help you actually create the website?
Here's another way to put it: Let's say you've just bought your first car. You got a great price from the dealer and he gives you the keys...but then what? Since you don't know how to drive yet, the car sits in the garage, waiting for you to take the time to learn how to drive. Wouldn't it be great if the dealer got in the car with you and showed you how to drive and operate it? In no time at all you would be on your own, cruising down the road...well, you get the idea.
So who can you trust to give you the features and training you need at a price you can afford, but also be reliable and easy to use?
Listen, I've been involved with computers since the very early days of DOS and Windows, so I've seen it all. I've seen the "birth" of the Internet as we know it today, as well as experience the pain of having a web host go out of business, leaving me scrambling to redo in a short period of time what had taken me months to create.
Now, since I'm a "techie", it can be pretty easy for me to build a website from scratch.
But what about you? Are you able to build a website quickly using HTML coding and the latest website creation software, or does the clock still flash 12:00 on your VCR? Or are you somewhere in between? Most people are somewhere in between.
Maybe you already know what you want to do with the website, but you need a little nudge in the right direction to get started.
Or maybe you still need some assistance figuring out what your website is going to be about?
And you still would like to make sure that your site isn't going to be "down" a majority of the time.
And don't forget Customer Service. How helpful will they be after you have bought the package?
Well, fortunately, there's a place that gives you:
It's called Site Build It!
As a Computer Consultant, I have many clients that require some sort of web presence. I have been involved in various degrees with the website creation process, from suggesting design ideas to actually doing the entire process. I have used a multitude of web hosting companies, and none of them gives you the value that SBI gives you.
I have had the pleasure of working directly with the owner of SBI (and it's parent company SiteSell), Ken Evoy, on a project and he was nothing but polite, attentive, and took my suggestions to heart.
But don't just take it from me. Watch the short video below to take a "Visual Tour" of what SBI is all about.
